Oliver Buxton is a staff editor for AVG, with a background in cybersecurity. His writing explores advanced persistent threats, including zero-day exploits and various types of cyber attacks. Oliver’s work on cyberterrorism has been published in The Times, and he previously wrote digital safeguarding policy for higher education institutions. Oliver’s other interests include history, traveling, and aerial drone photography.


He holds a BA from the University of Leeds and an MA in History of Warfare from King’s College London, specializing in cyberwarfare and the role of digital communications in the evolution of insurgency. Oliver also holds certificates in Introduction to Cyber Attacks and Cyber Attack Countermeasures from Coursera.
