Jeremy Coppock is a staff cybersecurity writer and editor for AVG with a strong interest in online privacy and anti-scam education. His years-long, hands-on experience as a fraud investigator for a major online retailer gives him expert insight into avoiding fraud. He’s also worked in higher-education research and cybersecurity audit translation.


Jeremy holds a BA from the University of Washington in Seattle, and a dual MA from the University of Glasgow and Jagiellonian University. When not at work, you’ll often find him hiking and foraging, swimming laps, or spending time with his two basset hounds, Chowder and Snuffles.
