You can rest easy knowing AVG Internet Security scans everything automatically for you. But if you ever want to double-check the security of a file or folder before opening it, here's a quick way to do so.

How to scan a selected file or folder:

1. Right-click the file or folder you want to scan
2. From the drop-down menu, select Scan with AVG

Once given the all clear, you can open the file or folder with confidence that it's safe.
