General Manager SMB
Mike leads AVG’s small and medium sized business organisation, a global organization dedicated to un-complicating the lives of SMB’s and the channel partners that serve them. In his role, Mike is responsible for all aspects of the company’s goal in growing this segment, including P&L, sales, product management, marketing, sales operations and customer and technical support.
Mike’s drive for moving the company forward is spearheaded with the AVG CloudCare platform launched in 2012, a cloud-based small business administration platform provided to resellers free-of-charge to help them remotely manage even their smallest customers simply and efficiently. Mike also led the acquisition of the business of LPI Level Platforms in June 2013 and the integration to AVG Canada.
Prior to assuming leadership of the SMB organisation, Mike was senior vice president of global sales for AVG after serving as managing director for the UK. During his tenure, Mike grew AVG Technologies into the UK’s number one player in the consumer antivirus space. He has been with AVG since 2007.
Mike’s association with AVG began in 2002 when he was managing his own business as AVG’s UK partner. He established the company’s entry into the UK through online sales, reseller channels, and a UK-based customer service and technical support department which led him to sell the business to AVG’s parent company. Mike joined the team as managing director of AVG UK.
Prior to his work with AVG, Mike was managing partner at F1 Services, an IT reseller. He holds a BSC Hons from Coventry University and his specialties include Sales, Operations, Strategic Planning, Business Management, Customer Service and Technical Support.
