  2. Click the Firewall icon
  3. Select Firewall disabled
  4. Save the changes
Please remember to enable the Firewall again once the reason for its disabling is over.

The AVG Email Protection may affect your sending/receiving of e-mails, since it is designed to scan the messages and needs to access them in some way. 4. Un-tick the option Activate this server and use it for receiving e-mails
  5. Repeat the same for SMTP and IMAP servers
Please enable the servers that were enabled originally again when possible.

In some situations, you also might want to disable the Anti-Spam protection temporarily. To do so:

  1. Open the AVG program
  2. Click the E-mail Protection icon
  3. Un-tick the Enable Anti-Spam option
  4. Save changes
