4902 - How to disable or configure AVG Do Not Track

AVG Do Not Track informs you about websites and advertisers collecting data about your online activity, and gives you the choice to allow or disallow this tracking. The eye icon in your browser allows you to access the AVG Do Not Track settings:

Configuring the Do Not Track feature

  1. Open AVG Do Not Track by clicking its icon on your browser bar.
  2. By clicking the eye icon at each particular service, you can block or allow it; alternatively, you can use the Block All / Unblock All button.

AVG uses W3C DNT protocol to automatically notify sites that you don’t want to be tracked. This notification is enabled by default. You can change the settings as follows:

  1. Open AVG Do Not Track by clicking its icon on your browser bar.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Clear (disable) or tick (enable) the option Notify web sites that I do not want to be tracked.

Disabling the Do Not Track feature

If you wish to disable the AVG Do Not Track feature, please follow these steps:

Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click the Do Not Track button in your browser.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click the slider next to the text Do Not Track is enabled to move it to the position "OFF".

Google Chrome

  1. Right-click the AVG Do Not Track icon.
  2. Click Disable.
