Under specific circumstances, you can encounter the following situation after failed AVG update:
- AVG is reporting outdated virus base.
- When you click "Update now" in AVG, the update fails.
To fix this situation:
- Download the AVG_RegFix.exe file.
- Run the file and confirm the EULA agreement. A confirmation text will be displayed.
- Run AVG and click "Update now".
