On 24 May part of my original Post was “Can a moderator or AVG please comment whether or not an automatic program update should have taken place? If “no” I can update manually (which rather defeats a major benefit of a paid for product) or yes, which indicates a possible AVG problem. (similarly, I still have AVG 2012 running on another computer which has not offered an upgrade to AVG 2013 IS paid for).”
I am pleased to see my AVG IS 2013 has now updated automatically to Program 2013.0.3345.
However, my AVG 2012 is still running on my other computer and I have not been offered an automatic update to AVG IS 2013, which seems a bit lax on AVG’s part. It is not good customer care. I am fully aware I can upgrade manually, but to reiterate my point, AVG should be offering this upgrade to its paying customers.
I am also aware I can give feedback directly to AVG, but that option misses the point of good customer care.
Pleased to report that my other computer has now completed the upgrade to AVG IS 2013. This upgraded seamlessly so my Post is now “SOLVED”.
I have used a few other “Forums” recently, and I have to say that in comparison the AVG FORUM is very good and much more user-friendly than the average forum. It seems to have had a make over and is now quicker. Many thanks to the Moderators – your work is appreciated.
