Since upgrading to the 2013 version of Internet Security I have also noticed that my IE is running very slow at times, I frequently am unable to access a web page, downloads are often failing, my Chrome browser has the AVG search for a home page and I have not been able to get rid of it.
Just updated the AVG2013 on my Dell laptop running XP, looked good. Ran the PC Tuneup, fixed the discovered problems and now the computer will not boot at all. No issues prior to the update and no message or warnings. Now all I get is that "A disk read error occurred." Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart. F12 Diagnostics looks good until I get No Diagnostic Utility Partition Found. Did the Tuneup delete something I need? Really need some guidance. Many thanks.
