Unattended uninstall script.. Hi, I am uninstalling AVG 2012 on approx 100 machines and using the network installer is just too painful. It simply doesn't do anything on majority of machines. May I please get a script too. Thank you Silvio

Hi termina, The AVG email scanner will not delete any emails, it will mark the mails as spam and modify the subject line by adding the word [SPAM]. If you don't have the Outlook plugin you can create a rule in Outlook to move anything with [SPAM] in the subject line into the junk folder. It is possible that by using something like intelligent message filter mails could be filtered at server level. Unfortunately this is not something that the AVG email scanner will do.

I can't seem to find a way to have AVG auto-delete email over a certain spam score, nor can I find a way to move spam to junk folder without the outlook add-on. It seems a little ridiculous that an anti-spam product from 2013 can't do this... Anyone have any suggestions? I'd rather not have to make my users keep outlook open all the time just to avoid spam appearing in their inbox (say, for people who use their iPhones 99% of the time) Thanks

Hi Quintin777, Our developers are currently working on a resolution to this issue. It would appear that the error is indeed related to the creation of exceptions as this error message is generated when exceptions are either added or modified. If recreating the database did not resolve the issue, what happens if you reinstall AVG onto one of the clients using the removal tool to uninstall? Does the station now synchronize without error?
If you have more than 2 folder exceptions you receive error when synchronizing. Synchronization of configuration failed (Cannot create a file when that file already exists). The only way to get back synchronization is to delete and re-create database or remove all exceptions and add back. Big deal since I have about 20 exceptions that need to be added. That did NOT work for me. I removed all my exceptions, still get the same sync error. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Hi Michael, It shouldn't make any difference cost wise, the Windows based console can be installed onto any Windows based operating system from XP onwards. For machines that are outside the domain, users usually use the external IP address of the machine hosting the admin console and forward ports. I'm not bias against Windows-based machine but it's much more dangerous to use a normal Windows XP just to host AVG Admin with an external IP even with Port forwarding. Furthermore, it's a waste ...

Despite the fact that all scans are set to "Low" priority, the running scans slow down user's computers to the point where they are barely useable. The behavior is the same when priority is set to "User Sensitive". The computers in question are no more than 2 years old, so the overall speed of the computer isn't the issue here. I'm not sure what else to do. All computers are running Windows 7 (a mix of 32 and 64 bit).
