Multiple Threat Detection

Since I updated a couple days ago I keep getting an infection detected on file: i:\system volume information\_restore{---stuff---}\RP477\A0049313.exe Infection: May be infected by unknown virus Win32/DH{LgBNQ} This happens multiple times. I remove all unheeled and they pop up again later. Disk I: is a Passport removable disk. If it's unknown, why is it flagged as a virus? There is no information at all about Win32/DH{LgBNQ} nor A0049313.exe. Can someone shed some light on this? ...

After the Summer Update I would get the update for link redirector (2171) over and over again. I would be told update was successful but it was there everyday. I uninstalled and removed AVG free. I went to download AVG free and went to Cnet.com. There was three download buttons. 1)On the Cnet site which download button do I click on? 2)Has the update problem of the redirector been fixed?

Hi, Gary, Thanks again! I have nothing against GMER, but I read in other forums that such rootkit scans could lead to crashes, blue screens, etc. My problem is ONLY redirects at random times. No popups. No other strange behaviors. My system is pretty stable and I don't want to mess with it unnecessarily. I trust and use AVG and Malwarebytes, but I have NEVER used TDSSKiller or GMER or Hitman, etc. I'm afraid, running them could cause more problems. Hi, Thanks for your support. So computer 1 having the issue with the nic in order to update the virus db. I'll try it on a different computer (computer 2). If I manage to update the rescue USB-stick on computer 2, is it than ok to use it (updated) for computer 1? If it updates, my concern is, where will the "update files" be stored? So i just turned on my computer this morning and i updated the AVG and THEN ID PROTECTION failed i got an error (dont remember the numbers) i dunno what happened and please fix this because i am very worried about this BTW: i Tried the Trojan simulator and AVG was GREAT at detecting it but for some reason Microsoft Security Essentials detected it faster. Hi Lilellatho, please try to turn off AVG Advisor notifications as temporary workaround. In AVG Menu -> Tools -> Advanced Settings -> Appearance -> Untick "Display AVG Advisor notifications". Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. The error message keeps appearing every two minutes or so. Hopefully, there is a solution to this that doesn't force me to uninstall AVG, as I've been quite happy with it so far.

I found a virus called W3i.IQ5.fraud. I tried multiple anti virus programs to get rid of it. spybot found it. I thought AVG would want to know about it and help everyone out with a fix.

hey I tried to install AVG free 2012, but it hung while "configuring product" (while between the i and the o in installation parallel to the progress bar. ) the only avg file I could find post install is enclosed along with the compressed ms32info. thanks. further attempts to install do nothing. literally. nothing happens when the installer is run. ok find the relevant 86 byte file titled avginfo.id is pissing off your form validator. good luck with that.
