Student contest in cryptology and information security

Supported by AVG Technologies s.r.o., Brno University Security Laboratory announces opening of the KEYMAKER CONTEST (detailed text in Czech only) for the best student project within the field of cryptology and information security. Besides finding the best ‘keymaker’ of the year, the contest’s main goal is to support individual student projects, to break through the isolation of the academic community in the Czech republic, and last but not least to attempt employing IT commercial subjects in experts-to-be training.

AVG and VUT Cooperation Results

Two students of the Faculty of Information Technology, Petr Bohacek and Ivo Reznicek, have won the 3rd prize in the Honeywell EMI Conference and Competition 2005. Their project on ‘Test process automatization’ was created under the direct supervision of AVG Technologies’s development department as part of the ongoing cooperation between AVG Technologies and Brno University of Technology. Both students were also nominated for the AFCEA prize, and the Dean’s prize.

Long-term cooperation between VUT Brno and AVG

AVG Technologies and the Technical University of Brno have agreed on long-term cooperation on basic research projects in the sphere of information technologies security.
