GRISOFT Launches Technology Partner Program

GFI Software and others join GRISOFT to integrate AVG Anti-Virus Engine with their offerings


Brno, Czech Republic and Millburn, N.J. – June 7, 2006 — GRISOFT, the maker of award-winning AVG Anti-Virus, today announced the launch of its Technology Partner Program. This global program enables companies around the world to deliver secure protection more effectively to computer users with a solution based on the reliable and well-known AVG Anti-Virus product line.

GRISOFT's Technology Partner Program enables existing and new partners to address and respond to user’s computer viruses and other threats while increasing their customer base and revenue opportunities. It delivers the AVG Anti-Virus Engine for third-party hardware and software solutions, additional tools to enable ease-of-integration, ongoing professional support and a dedicated website for interactive and up-to-date information.

GFI Software is one of the first technology partners to join the program. GFI MailSecurity is used by more than 15,000 customers worldwide including NASA, US Navy, USAF, IBM, Peugeot and Toyota. The AVG Anti-Virus Engine is included via a Software Development Kit in Version 10 of GFI MailSecurity. This new version offers GRISOFT's anti-virus protection for e-mail servers as one of its key features. It is available as a Beta version now and will be commerically launched later in June.

The new GRISOFT program offers partners two options for easy integration of its AVG Anti-Virus Engine: Via a Software Development Kit (SDK) or an application interface (API) featuring on-access antivirus scanning and firewall integration. This is all available while being very light on computer system resources. This added value and extra levels of protection ensure peace of mind to customers.
