Siobhan MacDermott New Head of Global Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at AVG Technologies
Czech Republic & Newark, UK – September 23rd, 2008 - AVG Technologies is pleased to announce that Siobhan MacDermott has joined the company in position of the Head of Global Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at AVG. Prior to this role, she was the vice president of global corporate and executive communications, as well as the interim CMO for McAfee, Inc.
In that role, she was responsible for McAfee’s corporate messaging strategy and worldwide public relations. MacDermott joined McAfee in June 2005 and played a crucial role in crisis communications, acted as a spokesperson for the company and oversaw all communications activities on a global level.
Prior to joining McAfee, MacDermott held various senior management positions at RSA Security, Betrusted, Telephia and Sprint PCS. She also founded and managed Takatech, a global consulting firm that specialized in market entry and strategic consulting for many global 2000 companies.
MacDermott holds an MBA in International Business from Thunderbird speaks four languages fluently and is a frequent speaker at industry events.
