Christophe François
General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Since joining AVG Technologies in 2009, Christophe has taken charge of the company’s legal affairs. He is responsible for AVG Technologies’ Legal Department, including all legal activities relating to AVG’s corporate governance, contracting, intellectual property, litigation, acquisitions and general legal, regulatory and compliance support of AVG’s operations. Christophe is a member of AVG’s Executive Management Team.
Christophe worked for CA in Belgium and The Netherlands, where he spent four years and left as senior counsel, responsible for providing general legal support to the Belgian, Luxembourg, Dutch, Finnish and pan-European CA operations, with specific focus on commercial contracting, CA’s European privacy compliance and direct assistance to the local management, the European organization (EMEA) and CA , Inc., USA, in a variety of legal matters. Prior to CA, Christophe was legal counsel for Oracle where he progressively assumed greater management roles and was responsible for general legal support of the Belgian, Luxembourg and pan-European Oracle operations, including specific support to Oracle’s public affairs group. In 2008, Christophe enjoyed the pleasure and was honoured to be elected Company Lawyer of the year in The Netherlands.
