Since the last major program update of AVG (program version 8.0.227 and higher), there are new timing options when scheduling a scan or program update of AVG. Changes are connected with the "Run at specific time interval" option. Now the possible settings of this option are:
- Every day
Scheduled task will run every day at a specified time - Selected days
In this case it is possible to check/uncheck one or more days in the week. Then the scheduled task will run on checked days at a specified time. - Every selected day in month
If this is set, then it is possible to select on which exact day of month will the schedule run. Same as the previous options, the scheduled task will run on the selected day at a specified time.
In addition to the above mentioned changes, there is a new option available in the "Advanced schedule options" section - "Delay this task if a full-screen application is running". In case that this option is checked, the task will not run at a specified time, but to avoid slowdown of the computer, it will run after the running full-screen application is closed. This option is available for all types of either predefined or user-created schedules.
